Welcome to the Standing Acro Convention!
Celebrating the ambition and creativity of all things partner and group acrobatics ✨
"It's everything I want from an acro event - great teachers and workshops, safe and supportive environment and a real focus on community" (2025 Participant)
How does it work?
The event runs over three full days (9am - 9pm) from Friday 17th - Sunday 19th July.
We bring in the best teachers we know from around the world, with intentionally diverse influences (circus, gymnastics, cheer, dance), to inspire and offer techniques for different physicalities and skillsets.
You can improve your skills and/or explore new styles, with a choice of workshop options including:
duo acrobatics: static and dynamic skills, hand to hand, acrobalance
group acrobatics: towers, swinging, toss, banquine, and group stunts
adagio, creative sequencing, and dance acro
Plus lots of extra opportunities to learn and connect outside of workshops:
individual coaching
lunchtime banquine club
lots of jam time, including ability to use the longes
games
Friday evening social
The aim is for everyone to have the chance to improve their skills, have fun, and be ambitious in a supportive and welcoming environment.
You can see last year's schedule here to get an idea of what's on offer.
Level
This event is for those with some experience. To ensure everyone can participate all attendees must be able to perform the following:
Standing foot to hand with an unassisted entry and exit.
Solo handstand against a wall for 30 seconds.
Workshops go up to advanced static and dynamic skills - one arms, saltos, dynamic 3-high variations etc. So there's something for everyone, whether you're an enthusiastic hobbyist or professional acrobat.
Who can attend?
Solo, duo, or in a group - there's no need to bring a partner.
We facilitate mixing and trust-building at the start of the event, so that everyone can make some connections before diving into workshop options.
We also think intentionally about workshop placement based on the needs of solo attendees - if you look at last year's schedule you'll see there are always group acro options and workshops that don't require prior calibration.
Food:
Onsite hot lunches (main + sides) are included as standard. We highly recommend this option so you can spend time training and socialising rather than finding food. There are no supermarkets or cafes nearby.
Dietaries are catered for (GF, vg etc.) and you can write your needs on your booking.
Facilities:
The shiny new sports hall is equipped with puzzle mats, crash mats, and 4 sets of lunge lines.
Green fields are right outside for a revitalising walk or breath of fresh air.
Showers, changing rooms, and free parking onsite.
Accommodation:
Unfortunately we can't provide accommodation. We encourage local hosting or teaming up using the participant Whatsapp chat.
Payment Options
A split payment in two installments is available to spread the cost, with £100 due now and the remainder by 1st May.
